Learn to use your start/stop button. I started sewing slowly while learning to use it and when I was confident with it I went faster. I don't use foot pedals anymore. No more cramps in my calfs...

The 6600 has a start stop button. Are you sure it is not being pushed by accident when you are sewing. I never use the foot pedal anymore, just the button. Saves leg cramps. Noreen :D :?:
