My husband has been doing this for years and would not be without it. No, it doesn't completely eliminate the pain, but it does help it quite a bit.

For those of you who are going to try it - you use GOLDEN raisins, not the brown or black ones.

Hello, can tell you this really works. My dad and mom have done this for years. Make sure that you get a gin that you can stomach. Some of the cheaper ones are really nasty.

I've been taking tart cherry juice concentrate for about a month now, and I can attest that it does work -- completely eliminated my arthritis pain in my hands. I take a swallow <about 1 TBS.> every morning and every evening. It's, as the name implies, very tart -- makes your mouth pucker -- but you soon get accustomed to it. Here's what Dr. Oz said about it, i.e. lots of other benefits:

I first tried the raisins/gin remedy but got really really tired of that concoction.

My FIL did it all the time. He seemed to think it helped. I may have to try it myself....

On reading this - I could see the California Raisins staggering out of a bar all gin'd up... Its either past my nap time or the brain is out to lunch. But most of the old home remedies work better than some over-priced script the Dr gives ya. I use to get cramps in my feet and hands my SILs Dad said to eat sour pickles to get rid of them and it works-its a good thing I like pickles
