If the border is around 2 1/2" you can cut some...
If the border is around 2 1/2" you can cut some Lemoyne stars (diamonds) that would look really cool with the stripes.

I belong to two quilt guilds in my area. One is $5 and the other $12. They are both worth the money. Wish we did more at one of them. The other one is so much more advanced and challenging.

Another very simple set of simple instructions for the pineapple block is Elenor Burns.... Hers uses strips around a 4 patch, very easy. I made a full size quilt in a day.
