Yes Judykay I do not use batting, just the top and the fleece, then I bind by machine. I make mainly comfort quilts and they need to be light weight and washable.

I also use my decorative stitches at times for quilting on my DSM. I love the serpentine stitch and a few others that I use the most. I back my quilts with fleece and often outline quilt the blocks...
