I love Quilter's Dream Request. It's 100% cotton and does give a soft, crinkly look once the quilt is washed. I used to use Warm & Natural but found it to be thicker than I wanted.

Yes, I think I would agree that it would make a good "after quilt" as Karen Brown calls them. You wouldn't want to cut it up into smaller pieces, so perhaps using it as backing would be good.
