    Call a local dealer an he can help you with a machine I am a Janome owner hands down and most of them start at $200, and go up Never had a problem with any of them good luck

    Even though your machine is about 25 yrs old yes you got a bargain and it is a workhorse, I have the 3500 an never had any issues with it. Keep it clean, change the needle and you are good to go
