i like kona snow. it's a soft white as opposed to a bright white, not a true cream and nice inbetween. I've used white on white when I wanted the white to stand out. as with all material and quilts, it's a personal preference. good luck

I use the WOW...you can find contemporary patterns to use in the more modern quilt, or you can use a small traditional little flower or something. Depending on the block pattern...I might use a solid, but its rare.

I would use the Kona cotton. (Smetimes a little more expensive) but: I find it doesn't stretch like the muslin does. Also seems to blend in better than muslin incase some of your fabric pieces have an off white color mixture in it.

I'm new to quilting and have used both - white and white-on-white. I think if I were going to use a lot of it in a quilt, I would prefer the white-on-white. - Cynthia

I use white Kona if everything else it plain. I use white on white if I'm mixing with patterned fabric.

For a traditional quilt I would use muslin. For a more crisp, modern look I would use Kona, especially if the white will be well quilted. But if there will be a lot of white and you don't plan to heavily quilt it, go with the WOW for more interest.

It all depends,,,,, I hand quilt most of my quilts,white on white is harder to quilt thru due to the paint uned. Kona and muslin are preferred due to the softness and ease of hand quilting or piecing.
