Parents in great health, ages 74 and 75

4 brothers and 2 sisters in 6 states

DH and 4 kids

17 nieces and nephews

My dad is one of 12 - all still alive (ages 56 - 76). I have 35 first cousins on that side (and we collectively have about 55 kids so far) - we get together about 5 or 6 times a year. And facebook all the time.

I am very lucky - I have a great (and huge) family, both immediate and extended. We look forward to seeing each other. And there doesn't seem to be any gaps between the generations.

Parents deceased...Dad in 1985 at age 99 and Mom in 1995 at age 86. MIL died of cancer a few months before my mom had her massive stroke. FIL just had his 89th birthday. His wife of 14 yrs has Alzheimers and they both entered a skilled care facility last month. I have one brother 8 yrs younger than me who has a son and daughter. His darling wife has 2 sons. I've lost track of how many grandkids they have! I have 5 sons and a daughter, all living in Texas. One grandson age 6 (in my picture with me) and 2 more 'almost' grandkids - boy age 12 who mows my yard and girl age 11 who is going to work on a quilt with me this summer. I also have 2 best friends that I've claimed as sisters, since I don't have any.

Parents gone. Husband & I will celebrate our 45th on Sat. We have 2 sons & 1 dau., 6 gd, 5 gsons (ranging from 20 to 8) & our 1st ggs is due in Sept. We all live within an hour of each other except for the 2 oldest gd while they're in CA at college. DH's sister & bil live next door. We also have a lg yellow lab named Pita (pain in the a..) but she's very sweet, a 54lb male Basset who tries to be a lap dog as much as possible (our lovebug) & a cat that moved in several winters ago. He has finally slowed down on bringing us various creature gifts. :-D

Both parents deceased. Mom died when I just turned 24, Dad 14 years later. Both were very young when they died. Never got over losing my Mom, and its still hard without my Dad.

Have four brothers from 48 to 55. I'm the only girl in the middle. We talk on the phone but really don't see each other often because of our schedules.

I have 1 daughter 28 with husband, with 3 granddaughters. The two older ones are 3 and 4 and they are adopting them. She has one bio. daughter and is pregnant with the 4th.
I have 2 stepdaughters with husbands and 2 grandsons, 2.5 and .8mos. I am thrilled to call them all my daughters and they all live within 15 to 35 min. of us. We are definitely blessed.

Both parents and inlaws deceased
1 brother = no contact (he stole estate of parents from brother with Down's and gave all possessions to his daughter even tough the will stated everything was to go to the brother with Down's) No idea where he lives.

1 neice = No contact (she has lived in my parents home and taken all of our parents possessions since 1998, including gun and coin collection, all my mothers fine jewels which she had a ton of, vehicles, including travel trailer. Been in litigation since 1998) How would you like to live rent free in CA for 12 years! CA court system stinks!!!

1 son living out of state with wife, = constant contact, very close.
1 daughter living local with fiance and granddaughter = constant contact, very close with all

2 Brothers = Constant contact 1 may come and live with me, the one with Down's

Husbands family
1 sister = contant contactshe is my quilting buddy
2 other sisters = no contact (no idea where they live or last names now
1 brother = deceased
1 brother = 1 contact in 10 years (no idea where he lives)

My immediate family is very close. My granddaughter comes here everyday after school and all holidays and vacations. Plus she has her own room and spends most weekends.
