Thanks for the tip on making a 3-D butterfly. This method can be used to make flowers, etc.

i dont see why not, eighty...
if the wings are applique, just make 2 of each piece and sew them together, except where they attach to the body :D
turn them to right side. then attach them in the seam that attaches the body to the background :D...

i think.

There is a wonderful 3D butterfly quilt that I adapted into blocks different than the original design it is called "Butterflies are free Quilt" by Judith Sandstrom very simple butterflies and they are very cute to. I added a single layer of quilt batting (warm and natural) to the butterflies for a little more stiffness and they turned out great did the quilt for my new granddaughter. I don't remember for sure but I think I got it from Quilters World.
But it even has a valance with it . very cute hope you enjoy.
