I've met Georgia Bonesteel, she judged the first quilt show of a former guild. She is amazing and so nice, learned a lot from her and she autographed my books. I was vending at a Ga Quilt Council[sp?] convention and met Jackie Robinson, really great gal. Marti Michell, Eleanor Burns are so very nice too. I guess it takes more than talent to be successful in any career, these ladies have class too.

I also took a class from Carol Doak 2 weeks ago on paper piecing and loved it! Alas, no books...

I have Debra Henniger's Hobo Quilt book and she signed it. She is currently president of our Gems of the Prairie Guild in Peoria.

Marti Michell and Flavin Glover have been to our guild. I met Hollis Chatelaine (sp) in Paducah...she's the one that paints and then quilts the pictures...beautiful work. Alex Anderson, Eleanor Burns, Judith Baker Montano and a few others at quilt shows.

OOOO! My list is not so long, but I've actually taken 3-day seminars and classes from many of the oldie's.
My first was Carop Doak, before she wrote books. She is still one of my favorite (teach her method of PP), Eleanor Burns(teach QIAD), Trudie Hughes, Harriet Hargraves, Ellie Sinkiewicz!!(teach her method of Applique)
Jodi Barrows, Cindy Taylor Oates(I use all her books for sewing classes), Faye Labanaris, Jinnie Beyers, John Flynn(Won one of his quilting frames),Maureen Noble Teach her method of FMQ) Sat and discussed color and pattern with Sharon and Jason Yenter at QM one year.

I belong to a guild co-founded by Mimi Dietrich. I was program chair for two different guilds for at least 5 years and was a member of our local Professional quilting network for a while as a handquilter for hire. Many of the pros I booked were local to the Mid-Atlantic region. I have met and talked personally with Carol Doak, Jinny Beyer, Mimi Dietrich of course, Norma Campbell, Linda Poole, Trudie Hughes and I met Alex Anderson at a large quilt show. There are a lot of others that are not known natially but teach at most of the regional quilt shows here on the east coast. Most quilt teachers, designers etc. are really great people.
