To all you youngsters out there, I am 75 and just beginning to learn to piece. I have quilted but never pieced. Learning keeps the mind young. Body is in bad shape.

I'm 67 and just started quilting this past year.! I guess I am a late bloomer.
I have sewed for many years though for my kids and grandkids and great grand kids including 2 sets of twins.

I am blessed!

When someone asks I always tell then much older. My favorite when someone asks is I tell them I am going to be seventy in a few months. Then I get the ... you don't look your age....comment. I am actually 20 years younger.
My philoshopy is ....who really cares? .... whats the point... ? It is a number that has no real bearing on anything. It does not bother me to tell ...but since the answer is so ...trival ... I just have fun with the asker.

Turning a young 69 in September 27; married 44 years. Three children and one grandson. Outlived the age of Father (43) & Mother(63) when they died. Every day is a new day by the Grace of God; never throw away a minute of those most precious moments. Who knows what is around the next bend in life. Bend like a willow tree, but never break. More days and years to learn more about quilting...and ripping. Forget and forgive and life goes on.

DGS asks how old I was & I told him I was 24. He said but grammie how can you be 24 when my daddy is 28. I told him it was a miracle.
