Always loved snow, but in our advanced age couldn't imagine living in it! We've been having early winter here - one day waking up to mid 70s with highs in upper 90s and the next morning it was 40s. Been cool enough to break out the sweats and flannel PJs!

Not sure what your advanced age is. I'm 78 and I thought that retiring would be inside a warm home without having to go out and drive to work in a snow storm. :+)

Most older people like the warmer areas, not me I hate to be hot, give me the cooler areas.

Then there's Oregon....
It's really been weird...gray, gloomy and wet Winter and Spring that seemed to go on forever. We managed to get some Summer and now that Fall is here you'd never really know it by the temps. But then again, we are getting rain like I grew up with in Hilo, Hawaii...now that was rain. (Here it mists and it's called rain. To each his own.)

Actually, it never rains in Portland, it's Washington Missed.

;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

My advanced age is 72 and I do more mowing and shoveling now than I did when #1 husband was working! If the snow isn't deep, I don't mind shoveling - rather invigorating - but the heavy stuff and the steps get me good! Am not going to think about it yet. Just found out we are going to have another three days of Indian Summer in the 60's! And this is the week I chose to clean the basement! Go figure! Edie

We may not be at 100°, but we've had a horribly hot summer. Still no frost, but who's complaining!!! We're in the furnace in the morning, air conditioning by noon phase. Gotta love it!
