Got my tennis elbow from the way I proped my left elbow on the car door while driving. The doctor gave me dry whirl pool heat therapy and massage afterwards. Also wore a narrow band on the forearm up near the elbow for a few months. ( I broke the habit of proping my elbow on the car door.) After about three months of babying my left arm it was as good as new and have never had anymore trouble with it.

Yes, and I went to a chiropractor and he adjusted it and I think it only took a couple of visits. At least have one look at it and tell you what they think. It's beats surgery!!

There is a supplement called Hyaluronic Acid. It replaces the fluid in your joints to relieve things like tennis elbow. There are different combinations and the link below will give you a good idea of different brands and formulas.

Also, from the same site, you can search for Turmeric. It is just a spice, but I take it in capsule form and it is great for inflammation. I take it daily.

I would try both before agreeing to surgery. I think they are a wonderful combination.

Never had tennis elbow, but I did get that "cruise ship virus" aka Norwalk virus. And wasn't even near a ship....lol

Bad food at a casino buffet in Reno.

no tennis elbow but arthritis in my thumbs which makes it often hard to even use rotary cutter and "shove" fabric under machine when fmq. sometimes hard to even pick up pins. wear a support type glove i got at Joann's when real bad and it helps. you have probably seen them there - they are a brightish green.

I read most of the posts here and I did not see anyone that used a Chiropractor. I did send you a PM about how my husband ahd a wickedly painful "tennis elbow" and a great chiropractor did 1 adjustment on his elbow and he has been perfect ever since! That was "Accident and Injury clinic" in Anchorage. They also fixed his back that medical doctors told him he would need surgery on for a double herniated disc. That was after an MRI. It has been over a year and his back and elbow are great!!!

I've had TE in both elbows. Not fun at all. I started eating 20 tart cherries a day. I haven't had trouble in 4 years. Fresh are the best, then frozen, then canned.

I mentioned a chiro for mine and sent her a pm about it as well. I always check with my chiro before I call the dr. I even got pregnant after getting adjustments. Made a believer out of me!

I've had several joint problems and I have found that using heat when it stiff or just achy and ice when the pain is severe along with Blue Goo. Extra Strength Tylenol (Walmart generic) helps a lot however, rest from the things that aggrivate it are a must. If I get tired of waiting for it to heal do theings that hurt it I only prolong the healing process. Hope things heal soon for you.

Had the problem when I worked at ClothWorld(before they were bought by JoAnns) and it was called Epicondilitis which is a fancy name for it. It was treated with ice packs, massage with a cortisone cream and exercises. I will have a flare up once in awhile but just rest it for awhile. Good Luck.
