If that happened to me, I'd be crying! Lots of work went into it- you can tell by the pictures. The only thing I can tell you is that you may be the only one to know. We are our own worst critic.

well, at least you washed it first and know that if & when she did it after receiving it, that she didn't harm it and have hurt feelings between ya. Hope it can be straighten out by ironing it?
It is such a nice quilt and i love the colors you used. I can tell you put a lot of time/effort into it.

I saw the quilt and I agree, IRON it and then IRON it again. I understand how frustrated you are. Have a piece of chocolate and IRON it again. If you have a steamer use it, call your friends and see if they have a steamer. Awhile back a site talked about a problem with her quilt and she was taking a class from Ricky Tims. When she showed him the problem he said"Arn that(iron that). Well they did and it turned out great.

I have done this....Steam iron it,and use push pins and stretch up on a wall.Anchor each corner real well, and let it hang awhile.Re adjust it every day or so. Its kind of like when you use curlers in your hair and after a day or so they relax,,,Hope this helps!

Yes, try ironing it with a steam setting. It looked very good to me and not to dire. Try the ironing. Good luck and give it to her anyway as it was made with love and she'll appreciate it.

well..it is sad but also I don't think it looks as bad as you think...you can press it and if your still unhappy explain to her what happened..she will understand...anyway today the look in quilts is more used than anything....I no longer prewash fabrics...I love the shrunk look as a matter of fact the longarmer and I did it on purpose on a fannel quilt I made...we used wool batting and I came home and washed it in warm water..it looks wonderful and everyone loves it...they used it in a local quilt shop for months....so take a deep breath and remember..you made it in love....blessings

I think if you wet it, very wet, you can pat it back into shape on the floor and let it dry. Alex Anderson did this on one of her shows.
