You could do any kind of rounded design to go with the straight lines. A loose meandering or even loopy loops or hearts would be fun. By the way....Howdy and Welcome from Kentucky!!

Have you seen the pattern that looks like fish scales? Kind of half circles. You could even do it with your walking foot if you aren't ready to to it with the free motion foot.
Love the quilt BTW.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice! I think I'm going to try a medium size meander to put some curves in it. I wish I could afford to have it professionally quilted so I don't mess it up, but I suppose I have to start somewhere!

I don't actually have a walking foot yet. Where's the best place to get one, and how much do they typically cost? (College student budget here!)

Beautiful quilt - have you thought about doing the clam shell all over it -- it moves pretty fast too. Of course I'm talking hand quilting!!! I think it would come out really nice

I think I would give it a Meander/large stipple. Or even a loop de loop all over the quilt.

eBay has a good selection. Make sure the foot will fit your machine - low shank, med shank, etc. otherwise you'll have to buy an adapter.

Joann's is also another source for a GENERIC foot.

If it's a generic foot, the prices start at around $25 and go up from there. If you're lucky enough to have a Bernina, they'll sell it to you for over $135. :D

If you buy from one of the larger sellers (not someone selling a used one), you can write them with your machine information, and they should be able to tell you which foot you can use.

If you have a Pfaff with Dual Feed, I think it's possible to even do it without a special foot. I only quilted a small block once on a Pfaff, so I'm not really sure.

Most shops that sell machines stock the accessories. Again, just make sure it fits and works on your machine.

And that is a very lovely quilt you've made. Only your third? WOW!

That's a gorgeous quilt. I like the pattern and the fabrics you've used. Nice work on the piecing. I think a meander or stipple would look nice.
