I use both WIP and UFO.
WIP for what is laying out and I am actively working on while UFO is the stuff on the shelf and looks like a quilt partially made and put aside, pattern fabric and anything to make the top.

Well, I don't actually call them anything in particular...

... but I kind of view them as unfortunate proof of why I'm probably to blame for my kid's ADD if it is indeed genetic...
