I bought my travel Rowenta from Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon. The coupons NEVER go out of date, at least not in FL and Michigna. I think that with the 20% off I paid less than $35.00 for mine, and I love it. I do believe that I saw several years ago that Joanne's coupon's do not apply to irons.

My Shark iron leaks if I put water in, but so did the Black and Decker before that, so I don't use water in any irons now.

Joanne's has always excluded Rowenta from the coupons. ALSO, not only do they honor Michael's and A.C. Moore's coupons, but Michaels and A.C. Moore honors Joanne's coupons. Pretty cool. Michael's always excludes Martha Stewart crafty stuff, though :(

I have a GE and like it. Tried a Rowenta, didn't like the auto-off feature cause if you don't use it within 5 minutes or so, it shuts off. Also GE irons last quite a while, mine is just the basic steam, "old school". Agree also with the JoAnn's coupons, seems like the only good ones are sent out when all the fabric is on sale.

As for BB&B, I pulled a mangled coupon from under my car seat (almost 2 years old) and had no problem. In fact I love BB&B, because you can use multiple coupons (did 12 coupons for 12 items one day). Yippee!
I know this sounds stupid but because of that stupid no-books rule at Michaels (which wasn't always the case) I will pay full price for a book at Joann's or Hobby Lobby before I'll buy one full price at Michaels. But I usually get them at amazon or something.

Oh yeah, that's right Michael's rule, in general is: "if we sell the same type of item that Joanne's does". Never tried to buy a book there, like you, I find all I need at Joanne's

roselady,
I recently purchased a Hamilton Beach iron from Walmart. It was 26.00 and is called a "professional iron". I would guess because of the weight. It has a wonderful surface and it works like a charm.

Their coupons in general stink. You would be better off waiting until they have the coupons that give you so much off your entire purchase. Get a good cheap iron for now.

I tried to use a Michales coupon at Jo-Ann's and they would not take it if they did not carry what the coupon was for.
