I did the same thing! Sat at my sewing machine all day looking out the window at all that white stuff. Perfect day.

We seem to have had 15" or so, I'm bad at those kinds of things. Didn't get any sewing done, we lost power 2 times, each time for about 1 1/2 hours, then back on about 2 hours in the middle. Cut out a lot of pjs for the kids. Now I'll sew this weekend, after work.

AHHHHH, i remember the snow dats from school. Of course, we had to make them up. So we could never make vacation or travel plans until June, 2nd week of, sometimes. But, I enjoyed them.

So glad to be away from the snow in Boston...my poor DD told me she and the upstairs tenant both shoveled for 2 hours since the snow blower couldn't handle it! I don't want to upset anyone back East so I won't tell you that it hit 71 degrees here today. Thank goodness for retirement!

Gosh, you guys are wimps!! We go to work and to school unless there is 24" or more. Of course, I live in the Rockies, near the ski resorts at Park City, Utah! So, we all have 4 wheel drives vehicles and chains for bad times. My house also has a back-up generator in case the power goes out. We just are used to it -- it's an unusual winter where we don't have at least 2 to 3 storms that dump 24 to 48 inches. Love it, though.

LOL I am jealous of all the Southerners getting snow I think Global warming is warming up the north and cooling down the south! We are supposed to get a whole 2 inches tonight> Whoopee not even enough to bother shoveling it! I miss all the snow!

There's nothing better than that phone call in the morning telling you that you can stay home!!! I've been teaching for 32 years and snow days still make me as happy as they did when I was a child!!! We only have a few inches now but I can hope for a snow day next week can't I????

Pretty soon, I'll have to shovel, but enjoying some me time for now!

I used to be one of you snowed in New Englander's but traded it for the Valley of the Sun 22 yrs. ago. Not because I don't love my birth state I just could take the 3AM shoveling sessons just to get for work. I don't have snow days any more I can only hope for a few rainy ones. Happy Quilting from a former native... :-D :-D :-D
