Can't find the right size adding machine paper? Consider cutting newspaper strips the size you need. I use my paper cutter or the rotary cutter with old blades that I save for paper cutting.

I have never tried this, but just a thought after reading you post. Why wouldn't the rolls of paper "tape" that is used when you tape and bed new sheet rock work? It should be cheap and easy to find.

If you tape them together, be sure to put the tape where you won't be sewing through it. Otherwise, sewing through tape will gum up your needle/machine.

This thread had two great tips (one happened by chance) from Sue: Piecing strips on adding machine paper and using a golf tee to keep thread spool and bobbin together. Think hard, Sue. What other great tips can you share with us?

djw, the sheetrock tape I'm familiar with is heavy. It would be difficult to tear off afterward.

Never thought about that. But, as I said, I have never done this before and it was just a thought! Now, I know not to try it!
