Summer family picnic
#89
I would put each one in a bag or pillow case, So they can't see any patterns - they may not even know they're quilts (yet). I would tie each bag with a nice ribbon for the girls and a rope for the boys, with a tag showing a number. (You could use scraps from the quilt inside to applique a number onto card stock for the tag). Have the boys draw a blue slip of paper with a number on it and the girls draw a pink slip of paper with a number on it (All out of the same jar or basket). Have them all draw their number, but no one can get their gift until everyone knows their number. You could stretch it out and have them collect them one at a time - or let them all go claim theirs at the same time. That way the one they "win" is the one they get. No difficult choices - Completely random. If they choose to trade with each other later - well, they can. You are so creative - This will be a fun part of your reunion that everyone will remember.
