I didn't see the "mistake" till you said where it was. Beautiful quilt with added character. Just think no one else will be able to make a quilt like that even if they have the pattern!

Try to chose a quilting design where you do not have to quilt across seams. Much easier to hand quilt if you only have to go thru the top, batting & bottom. If you have to quilt across seams, it's harder to keep your stitches small. Also, if you can quilt on the bias, rather than the straight grain, it's easier.

Love your quilt, very pretty. I'm like you , every time I looked at the quilt I would see the block and the mistake. I'm new to quilting and love it. I had to look close to find it.

A small mistake makes it an "Amish Quilt".... only God is perfect!

Whenever I have straight lines in a quilt, I use curves for quilting. And when the quilt is more curvy, (flowery?) not so geometric, then I tend to use straight stitching... but that is all free-motion work, not hand-quilting.
