I got one as a freebie at a quilt shop and I use it frequently. It's only 6" long, but works great for trimming paper piecing projects, lining up my needle in inches vs. metrics, handy for lots of things. I keep it beside my machine. I use it more often than the seam ripper! LOL

I use them for paper piecing. I have both the 6" and 12" Once you learn how to use them you won't want to paper piece without them.

I used it once during a class on paper peicing. But i could not see the sense it in. After the class I would just cut an eyeball 1/4". After all, it was never gonna show and as long as I had enough to sew what difference did it make? It was already sewn! Quilting Police, come and get me...

i use and love mine...i do alot of foundation piecing/paper piecing and it has made the whole process so much easier!
one of those tools i did n't think i would need, but am so happy i broke down and bought. whether or not it is (worth it) would i suppose depend on what you do....if you are a foundation piecer it is very worth it...if you do simple piecing it is probably not something you would find a use for

What a wonderful tool it is. Makes the job faster and more accurate. I would not be without one for paper piecing.
