Your mother has done a fantastic job! I would take it a little at a time so you are not overwhelmed. I am working on the same Grandmother's flower garden with 1930's reproduction fabric since Spring 2009, and I must say, it's looking very good - at least that is what a fellow co-worker and quilter who is a lot more experienced than me, said. You are very fortunate to have this project - it will be treasured and an heirloom. Enjoy!

I would applique them onto neutral background blocks. They are absolutely gorgeous.

They surly look "dang near perfect!" They look lovely on the white spread that you have them on. Perhaps ask mother to start making white hexies, to use as the "paths" Looks like there might be enough for a nice size quilt. What a wonderful treasure you will have, knowing you both worked on this!

I would applique that gorgeous silk one on a pillow or bag or jacket -- but probably a pillow.

They are all beautiful. I wish I could help you, but I've never done one of these myself. Have never done any kind of hexagon. I'm sure you'll get help here, though.
