2 cuts horizonally
2 cuts vertically
equals total 4 cuts.

I took two blocks and decided to cut the 4 patches in half corner to corner then I used half of each block and to make a pinwheel. It looked ok but I wanted more. So I decided to do the dp4 patch method and this is what I ended up with!! I LOVE IT! If you have any questions please PM me and I will answer them on this tutorial. Thank you for watching I have 12 pictures and will try to explain them as best I can!1

Got my charm packs and can't wait to start, using earthy type colors for mine. Hope it comes out half as nice as yours. Thanks to much for the great idea.

This is great - I have D4P already made but haven't tried it as a pinwheel D4P, it is so beautiful. BTW GrammaBabs it is really important not to move the block on the when you make the two cuts on the horizontal and two cuts on the vertical, that is the only difficulty with D4P. Such a great block - I have a load of beautiful layer cakes in Shades of Blue, I think by Moda, that would be fabulous in this as an all-over block, and a jelly roll in the same fabric that could do as a piano key border. There I am off again, another quilt to make!
