During a two-three year period I dug up ALL my grass in both the front and back of my home and planted perennials, place decorative stone (which we collected) and dug/build a koi pond. I love, love, love watching things grow and bloom. I've already been dreaming about sitting outside by the pond this summer and sewing!!!!!

Garden??? I live in the forest and the deer would love it if I had a garden. I tried when we first moved here, but gave up after the first year of my husband laughing at me chasing the deer only to have them come right back.

I don't have a garden as my lot is very small. But I talked my daughter into planting some tomatoes and other things. It always taste so good when it is fresh. My cities rents gardon plots out to people and it goes over very well.

I have a flower garden and Veg.garden , and I can not wait to get them going . Nothing like a sun ripe tomato from the garden.

I live in the Chicagoland area also and since we can't safely plant until the middle of May, I'm usually going nuts just waiting to get those veggies and annual flowers planted. The last couple of years we've had rogue tomato plants - mostly cherry variety - popping up all over the place. Good luck with yours and happy gardening along with happy quilting!

Vegetables and flowers and weeds! I just picked some spinach and some collards that made it through the winter. The weeds must have kept the spinach from freezing. We picked cabbage earlier this year. Should have had the garden tilled by now and several things planted.

My husband and I have had a garden for 57 years. We can and freeze everything and don't have to worry that our vegetables have been sprayed on. Green beans, potatoes, yellow beans, kidney beans make the best chili, spinach, cabbage, horseradish, aspargrus, corn, squash, lima beans, and lettuce. big sweet onions. I give to my children and give to the neighbors, Even have a few neighbors follow my husband advice. They all love the taste of fresh vegetables.
