Putting them in a ziplock bag with clean cat litter works too. Absorbs the odor.

I just cleaned out my sewing room in the quest to de-clutter. I shared a big tub of them. I frankly have had to limit my magazine subscriptions and addiction to them. They take up a lot of room and I hate to part with them BUT it felt so good to do so!

It's relaxing to page through quilting magazines. I would make stacks and then go through them 1 by 1. Then I would pass them on to the next lucky quilter! I'm sure you'll find something that you just "have to make"! Have fun...you'll feel like you are on vacation!

Would the cat litter absorb the smoke smell of pillows? I brought some decorative pillows home from my brothers' house (he is a smoker) and I thought they would make great "pillow forms" for future projects but the smell!

I have not actually done that but I would say yes. Get the cheap clay type not the clumping one.

Going to divide it between the 8 quilters in our family.
My 'quilty' friends and I have a system. When one of us reads a quilt magazine, and decides to pass it on, we put one of those free address stickers (that everyone sends us) to the front of the magazine. That way you don't get the same magazine back, because everyone knows you passed it on. If you want it back, you put your name on the front in pen. Works for us.
