Hello, from Elberta, Al, near Foley. about 45 minutes from you. we now have only 1 quilt store in the area, but can shop at Pensacola. Email me or send private message and we can perhaps shop together. I can also invite you to my quilting club.

I am in mid Alabama and wish we were closer. There is a nice quilt shop in in the Gulf Shores area called "Sea Quilt Shop ". It is located "off the beaten path" in the owners home. It is easy to miss as it has just a small sign at the edge of her driveway. But it is very good quilt shop. I shopped there last in January. Dawn

Welcome Alabama, glad you're here. I once attended an Alabama/Auburn football game-great rivalry. I also wish I lived closer to you as I'd love hanging out with you visiting quilt shops. Husbands just don't get why you might need one more piece of fabric. I'm sure as you take a class at a LQS you'll soon make lots of friends, but don't forget to have some fun chatting with this group.

Welcome from Ohio! Would love to visit quilt shops with you, but I seem to be about 800 - 900 miles away.... :(

Welcome to Alabama! Sorry that I don't live very close, or we would definately go material shopping together! I'm a little higher up in Alabama ~ between Anniston and Gadsden.
We might not be able to shop together, but we can sure converse on the internet! I'll be watching for you. I'm new at this site myself.

Hmmmmm....I've got one of those too....I've had him for 39 years, though, so I'm used to it. Fortunately his good characteristics outweigh this one little fault.....

Hello and a big, warm welcome from southern WV....hope you find a quilting buddy.....

Welcome! Good luck on finding a buddy in your area. I'd go shopping with you if you live in Southwestern Wisconsin. You will feel like you have buddies right here - no matter how far away we are - glad you joined!
