My heart goes out to all those affected by the storms/tornados that hit yesterday, last night, and this morning. So much destruction and the loss of life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Thankfully we were spared from any bad storms/tornados this time around right in our a particular area although there was some damage in the eastern part of our state here in NC.

Oh my gosh Billy, I can't even imagine what that was like!

Even though you have to relandsape your yard, put on a new roof and cut down some trees, you're all good and that's the most important part. You have a new little "baby" who relies on you now!

To all those affected by the tornadoes, my heart goes out to you. It was a very snowy winter in the northern US, then the earthquake in Japan, and now the flooding in the south and east. It's unbelievable!

We had some incredible storms pass over us here in MD, but nothing like the carnage further west. A friend of mine in Alabama had to run with her family and her dog into a neighbor's basement while a tornado leveled her home to its foundation. She lost everything - house, cars, her at-home business in her sewing room, and all of her pet guinea pigs and rats. Absolutely devastating. It's amazing they escaped with their lives, though her daughter is on oxygen right now.

A wonderful group of her friends online who work with Guinea Pig Rescues have started a fund on her family's behalf.

These are all of the babies that she lost, all of them rescues, along with her work space. Seeing the pictures, it's just heartbreaking for me to imagine what she's going through.

We had a tornado last night and it destroyed our small town of Sunnyside. All roads were blocked and power outages. Choppers have been circling all day to survey the damages Two people were killed just a short distance from me. A mobile home park was half destroyed. Looks like a bomb was droped. My heart sank to see such a site.WE are ok and Blessed by god to have so much destroyed within a few hundred feet of our house. and only have one tree down in the yard.Bless all who have the same experence.

So sorry for those who have and are suffering. So happy for those who are not and made it through the storms okay.

Thank God you are alive! How frightening!
We had a tornado hopscotch over our house and farm; thankfully, just some shed damage and we lost two of our favorite old trees.
But now every thunderstorm gives me jitters. I pour on the prayers!
