Would you use the scissor holder that goes around your neck?

Fiskar's makes a pair of scissors that fold up sort of like the crummy ones we used to get in sewing repair kits. I can wear them around my neck and not hurt myself and they work really well when I'm working on yo-yo! They cut like 'real' scissors!

I tried one for a while, it was nice to always have the scissor close at hand, but was in the way too, so I stopped, back to searching for it among the other tools on my table - now my little screw driver is missing..... :cry:

I would be absolutely lost without them. I only use a small scissor (embroiderly type?). Whether I'm at the sewing machine, cutting table, or ironing board, there they are around my neck. I can't tell you how much time I had spent always tracking down my scissors before I had this little holder.

I wouldn't want to wear scissors around my neck, that would drive me crazy fumbling around for them. I keep 2 pr of Squizzers on my longarm machine.. http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/c3138.php
They are the neatest things..no danger of snipping fabric instead of thread. I dulled one pair to use for frogging stitches and the other I use to snip threads. I keep Gingher snips by my sewing machines.

I wear a small curved paid of fiskars around my neck.
Very convenient, they stay closed tightly, I always know where they are. I like the small curved ones because they will never snip the quilt. I use them at the sewing machine , at the longarm, and at my embroidery machine. As I said VERY convenient.

I made one and tried to use it but I found it was a lot quicker to just lay my scissors down and pick them up again as opposed to fishing them out of the pouch around my neck and then trying to stuff them back inside without cutting the fabric on the pouch. It's a great concept but not functional for me. If I'm not wrong a chataleine (SP?) originally was what the sisters used to hold all their keys and was attached to their waist. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
