It depends on what I am doing. If it is something like knotting a quilt where I am constantly cutting threads and forever loosing my scissors, I would and I do. I keep a small pair of scissors attached. It is great for people like me who can loose things without even moving.

I use a retractable scissor holder. First one I stole from hubbys workbench. I think it was a freebee from some hardware store. It has an aligartor clip so I can clip it to my collar or pocket and the scissors hang from the retractable string. Easy to use and slides up out of the way when I don't need them. I used them on my small thread snipping scissors.

I use a retractable thingy and a pair of childrens round tip Fiskars. Usually, I just need them for a quick snip or trim and it does the job without poking!

I keep those kids Fiskars all over my house. Those are the best little scissors .

I have a scissor, attached to a leash that goes around your neck. The scissors have a tip protector and I love it as I'm always looking for the snips. This is not a full size scissor but they are great for snips and small cutting jobs. This sells as a set
and is navy blue.. Sorry I don't remember where I got them but if you are interested pm me and I will check it out for you.

I use one when I use the longarm machine - couldn't do without it. However, when doing regular sewing I usually keep a pair of small snips next to my machine. I kept stabbing myself in the belly with the lanyard around my neck LOL!!
