Am I the only person in the world that can't sew a straight line???

I went out and bought a new machine when mine was annoying me to the point of distraction. I found out about two years later that I had been using the wrong type of bobbin and that the machine sewed just fine if I had gotten the right bobbin!! Duh!

I struggle with this and have guides and feet and tape too. Watching the needle is a big no-no, but I find myself doing it all the time.
There is a ruler that works well -- you tape it on to the machine and it sort of makes you look at the line the material should be on before it hits the presser foot, but it is hard to keep it down on the bed of the machine.
I would like to be an officer of the club since this plagues me DAILY!!

I don't have this problem--never have had it--BUT I learned on the OLD machines--and I think it does make a difference. I do have a harder time on a new machine.....
Try a 15-91 and see what happens or one of the clones....

I have used mounting putty and butted it against the presser foot and still It's not straight... I thought it was just me. Thank you Ladies for making me feel normal about this It is so nice to know I am not alone lol
