I have a Necchi Supernova that was purchased by my husband on July 13, 1956. It is still going strong. It is my favorite sewing machine, even better than my Bernina. I have sewed clothing, craft items, wedding accessories, and canvas items for a hammock on it. Very dependable. Love it! Have fun with yours! You'll be a believer. Enjoy.

I owned a Necchi years ago in the dim and distant past. It was a wonderful machine and I passed it along to my sister when I bought a newer machine. The one I had was beautifully engineered and never gave me a moment's trouble.

I bought a Necchi made in Italy in 1952. Black, all metal, a real workhorse. Bought another Necchi in 1974 when the freearm came out. By that time they were made in Japan and it never sewed like the one made in Italy. Got rid of that one in a hurry and kept and used the first one until 1986. Kept going from one machine to another until the day came when I finally ponied up and bought my first Bernina and dearly love it to this day.
