Yes, MaryJo's is an event....plan on spending the whole day there- it's that big! You'll be pleasantly surprised by the prices....and check out her fat quarters. I bought a lot of them and her FQ prices ranged from 46cents each to $1.79 each. I bought a lot of batiks, and great quality there for 59cents each! They have RJR, Northcott, Thimbleberries, and many many more fabric lines.
You won't be dissapointed!
Blessings,
MaryAnna

Went last Saturday. Drove from Summerville, SC which is near Charleston with several sewing friends. The drive was 3 hours. I love to go to Mary Jo's and am never disappointed. Beautiful Michael Miller, R. Kaufman', Timeless Treasures, etc. Fat quarters galore. I really think Mary Jo is trying to hold her prices down as best she can. I can see the prices beginning to creep up but far less than Hancock's and LQ shops for the same fabrics... Take a list so you won't be overwhelmed and just enjoy and touch all the fabrics!

Planned a 3 day bus trip for my ASG group. Then the economy dumped and had to cancel. I still want to go sooooo much.

It takes me about 3 hours to drive there, so we go for the entire day, and still can't see everything. Wonderful.

IMPORTANT additional information:
NEVER go on a Saturday if it can be avoided. Her hours are 9 - 7 weekdays and midweek is best. Here's address and contact info 401 Cox Road Gastonia, NC 28054. Local: 704.861.9100
If you have time and especially if you have an embroidery machine, you'll also want to take in the thread store on 108 S Webb St also in Gastonia. Web site, http://www.longcreekmills.com. I was there on my trip last week. The flyer in my bag has these prices listed (examples). Embroidery thread Poly/5000yd@$4/1100yd@$2///Variegated/1100/$3.50///Metallic/1100@$5.50
Quilting and serger thread 3000@$2/6000yd@$3. Mr Rector also carries stabilizers nothing over $6, most $2 per yard. There's more info on my sheet and on the web page.
Basically, I have never gotten bad thread there and they are every bit as nice as Mary Jo'l folks!
