I live in Gastonia and absolutely LOVE Mary Jo's. You cannot beat the quality. Her cottons are normally $5.79, now $6.49 to 7.99. She never buys anything that she would not use herself and she is still there everyday. Ordering online may be great for bridal but it is best to shop the store. Very easy to get to - right off I-85.

I'm sure this would be a great place to wander around in, based on the pictures on the Website. However, I went immediately to the what's on sale section and found that most fabric was about $10 per yard. If it is on sale, how much is it regularly? And that seems to me to be a horrendous price in any case. Of course, I'm 1,000 miles from Gastonia, NC, so it's not as if I will be running over there any time soon anway. froggyintexas

Definitely a great store. Bring your whole shopping list with you. They have alot of great prints related to almost any theme as well as the others mentioned. I am lucky. I only live 30 minutes away.

Most of the cotton is 6.99 a yard. They also have extra wide backing, foam, zippers, thread etc.

It's great. Good quality quilting material at great prices. My son and daughter-in-law got me a gift card to Mary Jo's for my birthday. It assures them I will come to visit so that I can spend it.

I have never been but have a friend in guild who goes every trip she makes to NC. I plan to make the detour sometime when I am not strapped for time!

I lived in Gastonia for many years and it is the only fabric store I would go to. It is one of the best. I can't wait to go to NC in July and one of the places I will surley go is Mary JO's. If you can't find it there it will be hard to find.

Pat, I bet we share a common malady. Moving was harder for us because we had to leave Mary Jo as well! LOL!
