I like the idea of nameing her after the wonderful person who taught you to sew.....For me it was my mother and her childhood name was 'Nonnie' and thats what I have named her featherweight. that is almost 100 years old.

My 301 is named "Sandy" after the lady I bought her from...I like the name "Ginger Spice" or just "Spicy" because of the color of your machine.

Never named machines, until I joined this site, then I felt compelled to. My Janome workhorse is Virginia (my grandmother who quilted); 1953 Singer 15 named Edith Cavell (my wonderful step-mother who made me fabulous clothes when I was a youngster); Memory Craft 350e Embroidery Machine has no name yet; and a Janome that I keep on hand for the granddaughters when they visit(no name for this one either)

I have a 301A in a cabinet I got on Craiglist for $100. Love it...named her Maggie Mae for my grandmother. Congrats.

Looks like a sturdy workhorse to me - I would call it "Wally"...think you can guess why!

You might have to sew for a while to get to know her, then you may just have a name pop into your head, that is appropriate.
