Stuff happens! I haven't done that, but nevertheless I know it could happen! Keep drinking your coffee (or tea) and stay alert! :-)

I did cut off the tip of my fingernail with a rotary cutter! Thankfully it wasn't my finger!

Keep it clean and do check on the status of your shots, clean needle or not.
If not done this than took off some skin with the rotary blade!

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I haven't yet, but have read the stories, so you should see me jump if I think it's any where close, like when the screw hits my finger or something.

OW! Hope it feels better soon!

I did that one time - except the most embarrassing part was I was teaching a sewing class. I taught them that was NOT the thing to do.

Oh my heavens...my finger hurts now just thinking about this. I hope this never happens to me..because it may be more then just a dribble that happens... ha ha ha and my floor is carpet. So double the mess to clean up.

You brought a giggle to my heart reading this post. When I bought my first Bernina sewing machine (1230) many, many years ago I was as proud as a peacock. I put my machine up on my kitchen table because I just could'nt wait another moment to take her for a spin. Yup, you guessed it, the moment I turned the machine on and placed the foot on I had my foot on the control and sent the needle right through my middle finger nail and it pushed nearly all the way through. It broke even with my finger nail so I ended up in the ER having the piece of needle left removed. And yes, It hurt ! ! ! ! Lesson well learned, I've never had that problem again. Of course, I'm more careful since then too. Thanks for sharing you special moment, it made my day.
