I'm wondering, can you use heat and bond on your fabric before you cut it? Also, do you starch your fabric before cutting it.And how does your embroidery machine stitch down the appliques? Thanks for your help.

Yes to heat & bond. Starch is a good idea - I use it because it really stabilizes the fabric - prevents stretching. Someone else will have to answere re the embroidery - I asked the same question earlier - LOL?

I love my Go. It saves a lot of time and it is more acurate. I have cut one double size quilt in 4 hours and finished it by the next day, (with cooking and cleaning inbetween). I did not find too much waste, if it is folded right.

I happened upon a very gently used Go at a yard sale for $75. I was certainly doing a happy dance. I also got a 2" strip cutting die and the matching cutting mat. I go all over the web and compare prices on dies. I got flowers, critters, and stars the other day for $54 from e-bay. They are new and came in original packaging. There are ways to get these without spending the outrageous prices that some sources charge. I haven't used mine yet but I definitely plan to start.

I do not have one, and would only use one for special shapes, birds, butterflies, Christmas ornaments, animals..which I'd then use as fusables. Considering how often I'd be actually working them into quilts..I've come to the conclusion that it's not often enough to justify the price.

I really wish there was somewhere I could go to and rent the use of one.
In the meantime, I will be content to purchase them from Keepsake Quilting...or somewhere.

I have a Go and love it. there is not a lot of waste if you watch how you layer your fabric. the Go Baby only uses the small dies, so it depends on what you want and the size of the die, I used my Go die to cut a drunkards path, I got the entire top cut in less than 2 hours. it was wonderful.

I have a Go! Baby that I won on Accuquilt's facebook page a few weeks back. I haven't used it though as I haven't gotten any dies for it yet. One of these days ;)
