Does anyone do embroidery by hand anymore?

I just finished hand doing some quilt blocks and am in the process of putting it together for a small quilt. Is is a good thing to do between sewing projects and i am one of those people that get bored with the same thing over and over.

Yes, it is still done! My mother taught me years ago, but I haven't picked up my projects for awhile...too busy moving, and now putting things away.
My husband's aunt, who is in her 90's, embroidered quilt blocks for quilts for each of her sons (some of the blocks were antic autos that she stamped from a purchased pattern...Aunt Marth's, I believe). After putting the tops together, she had someone quilt them for her. I'm anxious to get back at my project and finish that dresser scarf.
