Elinor Burns would love your quilt. The pattern name isn't the fabric name!
I think it is very nice.

So many times things are said that impact someones life forever. I am so glad you finally got to finish the quilt that you were so excited about making all of those yrs ago. Listen up quilting police, We all do things differently. Even if it doesn't follow what you think the rules should be. It is a beautiful quilt!!

Just because the colors may not be to her taste does not mean the quilt's no good. If anything, teachers should coax all the originality they can out of their students. Shame on this teacher! It takes only one comment like that to discourage a new student. I'm so glad you've come "back to the fold" and are quilting again! I think your quilt is lovely!

So glad that you followed your heart and finished this stunning quilt. It is unfortunate that a rude comment can have such an impact. Truly beautiful work!

Beautiful quilt, who is she to say the colors weren't right or whatever her comment was. People like that shouldn't be teachers.

I remember my mother's remark to a lady who was defending her daughter's rude remark with, "She always says what she thinks." Mother replied, "But sometimes what she thinks isn't worth saying." Love your quilt and the colors you used! Thanks for sharing.

Teachers are for teaching and encouraging. If they can't do that then they should do something else. Your quilt is lovely!

I really like your quilt. So glad you finished it. You keep doing your own thing - we are all individuals with very different tastes. Thank goodness we do, what a boring thing it would be if everyone made quilts that were the same!!
