My husband and Dad were both career Navy. Dad was a submariner during WWII and beyond. DH was a line officer.
I honor all of our military and feel that they deserve far more recognition than they get. My heart goes out to all of you who have family serving in Iraq and Afghanastan. I pray for their safety, and the families left behind. My thanks to all who help keep our country free.

Yes, I was in the Army from 1976 to 1991 and it was one of the best things I ever did. It's definately paying off now!

BF was in Korea and Vietnam. 21 years and retired, Drill Sargent! He can still belt out a roar but limits his running to the kitchen.

My hubby and I met while we were both in the Army. We went in towards the very end of the Vietnam war, and were only in for 3 years. Nothing major - we played in an Army band in NYC. The post is now a Coast Guard Station, and the building we lived in is long gone...

My father was in the Navy during WWII. My uncle was in the Army during the Korean War, my Son in law was in Saudi during Dessert Storm, and my Grandson is now at Quantico as an Air Traffic Controlman for Air Force I. My niece is in technical ops on an Aircraft Carrier. I am proud of them all and I worry about those that are serving now
