Welcome to the board. I, too, was a fabric buyer if I needed it or not before my husband died and there was more money, but now I have to be alot more frugal. I spent all afternoon yesterday going through a large bag of pieces of fabric that someone gave me. By the time I culled out all the knits and other fabric that would not be quilt fabric, I didn't have a lot of quilting fabric, but I had fun going through it...lol

Oh yes...................I am forever buying fabric without knowing what I will do with it. But you see, by the time Ifigure out what I'll make out of it, its gone. Get it while ou can and figure out later. Have fun.

Honey, I'm way beyond that stage. I am arranging my fabric storage room this month, and believe me, it looks like part of a quilt shop. Go for it, have fun. It gives you so much joy. If you find that you have way too much,I can always give you my address to send some to. LOL
Don't ever feel guilty about buying fabric. I am positive that fabric is a miracle from God!

When I see fabric that I like that is on sale I will buy at least a yard. Every now and then I will go through and pick out fabric and make a "Stash Quilt". They turn out very nice. I usually have to buy a backing for them. I just enjoy going through my stash and "planning". Sometimes, they even get done!!!

Yes I have that problem too. And I just realized that if I actually made things that I wouldn't have so much. It seems when I do make something I have to go out and get what I need. But I know I'll keep buying fabric. I love to get some at yard and estate sales.

I keep telling my husband Im building my stash for my old age because fabric is going to be very expensive by then.
I went to a Textile Mill outlet today and bought several half yards with no project in mind whatsoever. I just liked them.
