one little star - new world opens!

I have been quilting for a long time. This star block is my "go to" block when I needs to whip up something quickly. I love it! There are about a half dozen or so variations - all having to do with the center square. Slicing & dicing it up yields different looks, but all are so easy & fun to do. Each different center gives the block a new name. I just call it the Variable Star!

I beg to differ with you; It is Sooooooo a big deal. You will be soaring in no time. I was like that a year ago. I joined 2 Civil War BOM and we know it's mostly triangles of some kind. My blocks were supposed to be 6 1/2 in and the first ones turned out more like 5. I struggled with both of them all year trying to get the right. I just started a new BOM and was so impressed because I did a block that was kind of like one I struggled with last year and it was done in no time. I told my teacher the next night the fact that I could say it was easy was amazing and really proved to me how far I'd come. Keep on soaring; you are doing great; be proud of your self
