Another Older than dirt gal here.

Only I didn't have a bike. We lived in the city and my mother said it was too dangerous to ride a bike in the street because of all of the cars. What cars? Our row houses were 2 or 3 stories high with a family living on each floor and hardly anyone had a car, let alone the gas to run one. It was during WWII and gas was rationed so whoever had a car left it parked on the street. There were very few cars that came down our streets mostly it was the horse drawn wagons of the milk man and the fruit and veggie peddler. Those were just excuses because we couldn't afford a bike. After dinner was spent on our front steps, or stoops, playing cards and when it got dark the older kids told us ghost stories. May in Jersey

15 out of 15, must be much older than dirt. Remember the ice man coming around? If we were polite he would chip us a bit off to suck on as we played in the yard. Memories!!

A pie safe in farmhouse was a place to hold food from bugs?

Guess we're in the same age group - I remember all of these. My Mom had a sprinkler bottle, a wringer washer, and a treadle sewing machine.

I remember everyone and some we didnt get a kick out of especially sit at table until plate was clean!c But loved everyone especially looking back now :-D

Add me to the "older than dirt" list. Seventy years ago we had soap operas on the radio, Jack Armstrong, Captain Midnight, Let's Pretend. And when we had to add or subtract, we used our heads--no calculators.

LOL my kids used to tell me that before Dad, I dated Moses !LOL...well that is not true, I was still in High School !LOL but I do remember some of those items, and the bottle with the stopper, I vividly remember using it !LOL Amazing how much technology has replaced our lives in today's world !

Lucky me I remember them all, at least I can still remember, right?
I had an older father (he was 52 when I was born). So he didn't get rid of stuff, just like I don't now. lol I really wish the light dimmer in a car was still in the floor. I remember swiping the cigarette lighter out of the car hot to start leaves to burn. yep got into a lot of trouble. I remembered 11. But my brother has a Studebaker now. your post was a great read. I remember drive-ins they were kind of fast food. and that was only on check day.
