True. And I always enlarge it on the screen and look at it before doing anything with it. Some have missing areas, outlines off.

This morning I was going to use an OESD design, enlarged it on screen and saw that the outline around the hearts was wayyyyyyyyyyy off in some areas so I had to reposition the outline. Some designs I've also had to move stitches around to close up spaces.

I depends on what size the hoops are for your specific machine. If the largest is a 5x7, you can't use design for a 6x10 hoop.

I usually have a specific project in mind, and then get the one that best suits that project. Remember the bigger the design the more thread!!:). Also there is a free progrm out there called trusizer by wilcom, and it is great for resizing to the size you want, and gives you options for color changes, etc.

I purchase the 5x7's and then if I want to downsize the thing my machine allows me to go down by 20%. I have bought their stuff and they are cute and do a great job of making cute quilts and projects for everyone. I buy all of the time some 4x4 and some 5x7 but if I do not know what I want to make yet I go for the 5X7 as you can go either way with it. Hope this helps.

I love oregon patchwork designs. The sets have lots of free designs. You just have to go through them to find the free one. You can try before you buy. Looking at patterns are as addictive as this website. So who can get anything completed?

I buy the biggest size because bigger is better. I,m from Texas, can you tell.

Seriously, My biggest hoop size is what I buy unless I am buying for a special size block.

I buy the size for the project if I know what I need. If I have no project designated I buy the medium size. I use Designers Gallery to size up or size down and run it through Density works (part of Designers Gallery) and everything usually sews out without a hitch.

It depends. I usuall buy the 5X7 hoop size. You can inlarge or shrink them on most designs. I like making the bigger size than the small ones.

I always buy the largest size. You can always decrease the size some. I have a BLG2 which has a larger than 5x7 hoop.
I suggext you get the largest of the three sizes. Embroidery Library is the best site to get your designs. They are so helpful and will talk you through any problems or questions you might have
