Sassey, I sure do remember the pants stretchers. I used them on my husband's work pants.

Lots of good memories! Remember the Juicy Fruit and Black Jack and Spearmint gum that us girls chewed and folded the paper wrappers into chains? I remember loving thunder storms and listening to the pigs bang their feeder lids while I lay in bed with the window open and the box fan pulling air through the upstairs windows! Never thought of A/C and now I can't think of living without it.

How about those cinch elastic belts we thought were so cool and those baby doll high heels for date nights?

I remember all of them. I even had a Studebaker. The starter was under the gas peddle, if I remember correctly. I stalled it going up a hill and I rolled back into the car behind me and damaged the grill because I didn't have 3 feet--1 for the clutch, 1 for the brake and 1 for the gas where the starter was. I was scared to tell my parents the next morning, but my dad worked out a deal to pay for the damage so the car insurance wouldn't go up. I was 18 and a very new driver! I may be old as dirt, but I still go to band camp as a chaparone for my grandkids. It's the fifth grandchild this year.

What fun memories! I not only got all 15, but remembered every thing memtioned! Plus I could build a fire in the cook stove and pump up and light the pressure gas stove we used in summer. My dad drove a terrplane (sp?) car and G'ma and G'pa went to town behind a team of mules in the buckboard. And my sis and I loved going to "club" with G'ma where the ladies met at one another's house and quilted! Unless the weather was real bad, we walked along the country dirt roads to get there. Gee, I think I'm the oldest dirt here!

Cherry or grape nectar in small bottles. Yes I remember all of these, and the big jukeboxes. Sky King and Gunsmoke every Sat. on the radio. Open windows and 1 small fan. I wouldn't take those days away, as we really live then.
