she said it all. good for you. I was doing my 1st applique project when my F_N_L died. I did a block with a white background for him. My brother had died the year before. I used pieces of his clothing to do that block/white background. All other blocks were on a creamy background. the quilt was called memory garden

What a great idea! Better add some Kleenex to those bow tucks when you give them to your sisters! There's sure to be some tears! You did a wonderful job!
