I love your quilt top. Great colors.

I've done plenty of quilts without borders. Sometimesdone is done.

Just a tip-- for pieced quilts with no borders,it'sagood idea to stay stitch the outer edge of your quilt to hold the shape and keep the stitching from coming apart.

OR...visit the local thrift shop for cotton shirts and blouses etc. Cut the fabric up and you'll have scraps!

I'm still learnng but would love to hear your suggestions.

A charm pack is 40 5" squares, usually $8 or so. It's 2/3 of a yard of fabric.
A layer cake is 40 10" squares, usually $32 or so. It's almost 3 yards of fabric.
A jelly roll is 40 2-1/2" strips, usually $32 or so. It's also almost 3 yards of fabric.
Fat quarters and fat eighths are just that, 1/4 or 1/8th of a yard.

All of these are great purchases if you're going to do a scrappy quilt. Plus, most of them are colorful and varied.

Your quilt is beautiful. Our sewing group just started on of those quilt for the church fun raiser. I love it. We got our free patter from Annies scrappy. The lay out is a little different.
We will be putting on a 2 inch border and then a 5 inch border.
