Maybe it is just old age, but I wish I had my land line back. Hate carrying a cell phone around all the time and always leaving it on the kitchen table and other places because carrying it in my pocket, can't seem to get it out in time to answer because of my arthritis. Also hate charging it. Give me back my land line. Laughing here.

I'm with you! Still have my land line. Also, have a cell. Like to have it with me in the car in case of an emergency but I just don't feel I'm going to miss anything if I'm not CONNECTED 24/7. Sometimes I just like to be anonymous!

I got rid of my landline this year and have not regretted it. It became a $35 a month paper weight.

I only had my cell for years, but had to have my pace maker replaced a year ago , and with the new pace maker I have to have a land line , I have a machine that sits beside my bed and hooks to my land line phone, It automaticly keeps tract of how my pace maker is working , And if a problem it calls my Dr. or hospital.

I have notice that my adult grandchildren would have to have their cell phones surgically removed from their ears if they had to use only land lines. They HAVE to multi-task. Like talk to their friends on the phone every minute they are at home. The only time they don't talk is when they are texting. One will talk or text on the phone while she is on facebook on the computer. They aren't WITH people a lot, just TALK to people a lot. When I was their age I was WITH people. I think they miss out on a lot of socializing.

Done away with line line. The only thing I miss is being able to use my fax.
