Thanks; those are the ones I'm making for my DIL & my coming DGS. They are "Candlequilter" stars.

best machine on market .I've had mine since 1958. you can buy the new rubber wheel to fill bobbins at sewing repair shops.

That was my first machine and still rates high with me. I have a card table with a cut out so the machine fits in. That makes it super special.

My mom had a machine just like this one that she bought back in the 50's and I also learned to sew on that machine. I have to say it was one of the best sewing machines ever. Good luck with it. :):)

I also have a 401A, but the cabinet is different. It has drawers on the left side and a stool.

I bought a machine and cabinet from Goodwill for $7.50 so I could use the cabinet for my 401A. (The machine with the cabinet was a Riccar that really didn't fit well in the cabinet anyways.) My 401's name is "Miss Piggy."
