thank you , i recieved one similar to this and called paypal to make sure it was not a scam, but it was!!

I had someone hack into my paypal and withdraw money from my checking acct! I finally got in and transfered the money back in and then promptly closed the account.

I get these pretty regularly. After a few of them you just know they're phony. I forward them to Paypal's team, which Paypal seems to appreciate. 8-)

It's a scam, careful....alot of my family and friends emails are getting hacked, two in the past few days.

I received one similar to this several months back and called paypal. It was also a scam. They were trying to get my info.
As someone said on the board, a good way to tell is the salution. If it's scamming it will read "Dear Paypal Member", as opposed to Paypal's knowledge of refering to you by name. They know it, and will use it in all correspondence.
